How to install Google Camera

Camera 2 API

The first thing you need for Gcam to work on your phone is the Camera 2 API. Therefore, you need to turn on Camera 2 API on Android devices.

Root

Without rooting the device, you cannot turn on the Camera 2 API because it is impossible to edit or change the system level on the build.prop file. Refer to the article How to root Android easily and quickly.

TWRP Recovery

If you want to experience all the features of Google Camera, you need to install a custom recovery like TWRP on an Android device. The custom recovery process is optional. However, without TWRP Recovery, you cannot root your Android device.

In case you don't want to root your Android device, you can turn on the Camera 2 API through the command process.

Other conditions

Other conditions are to ensure the device runs Android 8.0 Oreo plus and has a Snapdragon Processor. Samsung Exynos processor also supports Google Camera.
