Restore the Show Desktop icon in Windows 7

Windows XP has an interesting component, Show Desktop.This component helps users to easily access the desktop while working on some other open windows . Create a Show Desktop icon in Windows 7

Start by clicking the Start menu and going to All Programs . Click Accessories and then select Notepad .

In Notepad file. Copy and paste the code below into this file:

Note: there is no space between the ' , ' and the number 3 in the third line in the code above.

Click the ' File ' menu in the Notepad window and select ' Save As . '. Save the file as ' Show Desktop.scf ' and select the location to save on the desktop.

The file called ' Show Desktop.scf ' will appear on the desktop. Now file creation in Windows 7 is complete.

Use the Show Desktop icon

Removing the file you created on the desktop will make it difficult to minimize the windows as it will be behind open windows. To easily access this icon, you can pin it to the Start menu or add as a toolbar to the taskbar. To pin the Start menu, simply drag this file to the ' Start ' icon. Windows will automatically pin it to the Start menu.
